Controls Engineer

Avanti Recruitment is working with a specialist engineering company that designs and manufactures high-end scientific equipment used in semiconductor, advanced materials and energy research.

They’re looking for a Controls Engineer to join their engineering team, developing the software and control systems behind their equipment.

The role:

• C# software development
• PLC programming using Structured Text / Ladder Logic
• HMI development
• Integrating software with sensors, actuators and other hardware
• Debugging software, controls and hardware
• Supporting existing products and developing new systems

What we’re looking for:

• Commercial C#/.NET experience
• Hands-on PLC programming
• Experience working with physical equipment or machinery
• HMI development
• Electronics/PCB knowledge would be beneficial

This would suit someone from a controls, automation, scientific instrumentation, test equipment or specialist machinery background who enjoys working across both software and hardware.
