Junior/Mid Developer

We are currently partnered with a growing technology company that is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Web Developer to join their Web Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of web technologies across the full stack as part of an ambitious digital roadmap.

Our client's customer base is expanding rapidly, and as part of this growth they are looking to improve and enhance their web-oriented product offerings. They are seeking highly motivated and creative web developers who can be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions and building websites from the ground up.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1+ years of web development experience who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You'll be working in a hybrid model with 2 days per week in their Southend-on-Sea office.

The successful candidate will be involved in designing, creating, and maintaining websites across multiple platforms, working closely with programmers and web designers to create solutions that match visual design intent and business requirements.

Technical Stack:

• C# (essential)
• ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core (essential)
• JavaScript, HTML, CSS (essential)
• MVC pattern and ASP.NET controllers (essential)
• JSON, Bootstrap
• IIS
• REST APIs

Beneficial experience:

• UI binding frameworks (Vue.js, AngularJS, React, Knockout)
• Basic SEO knowledge
• OWASP security awareness
• Mobile applications development

We're looking for:

• 1+ years of web development experience
• Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferable)
• Experience in debugging and profiling applications
• Full understanding of MVC pattern and REST APIs
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and mitigation
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
• Proactive approach with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask within budgets and time constraints
• Strong analytical skills

Key responsibilities include:

• Writing efficient code using software development best practices
• Creating websites using HTML, CSS, and other languages
• Gathering and refining requirements with business colleagues
• Researching software programs and maintaining documentation
• Enhancing and improving websites after creation
• Working within agreed timelines and project ownership

The role is paying up to £40,000 based on experience, with hybrid working arrangements offering flexibility between home and office-based work.
