Android Developer (Kotlin)

Avanti Recruitment is working with a growing product-led technology company looking to hire a Mid-Level Android Developer to join their team on a fully remote basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Kotlin experience, who enjoys working on live, production application, improving, maintaining and evolving existing products rather than only building greenfield apps from scratch.

The role will suit an Android Developer who is comfortable working with established codebases, delivering new features, resolving issues, and helping share reliable mobile products used in real-world environments.

Any experience with device-based or hardware-integrated applications would be a strong advantage, although not essential.

The role

You’ll play a hands-on role in the continued development of Android applications, contributing across feature delivery, app improvements, maintenance, and ongoing product support.

Essential:

  • Android Development
  • Kotlin
  • Experience building, maintaining and improving production mobile applications
  • Good understanding of modern Android development practices
  • Experience delivering features, bug fixes, updates and ongoing support in commercial environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with device-based, hardware-integrated or connected-device applications
  • Exposure to apps used on dedicated devices, tablets, kiosks or similar hardware
  • Any iOS experience would be beneficial, but is not required
  • Experience in product-led, operational or enterprise-focused environments

The role is fully remote working within the UK, and gives you a chance to work on real customer facing products with real meaningful ownership in a collaborative and supportive team environment. You will also have long-term opportunity to contribute to the growth and evolution of an established product set.

Salary ranges from £45,000 - £65,000.
