Application Support

Application Support – 4 days remote per week

Avanti Recruitment is partnering with a scaling tech business in Manchester to hire a Support Technician to join their small, close-knit support team.

You’ll be supporting users of a bespoke software platform used across the e-commerce and logistics world. This isn’t a high-volume IT support desk; you’ll be providing 1st line support, resolving queries related to system logic, platform rules, and workflow behaviour. It’s a calm, logic-based role that suits someone who enjoys understanding how systems work and helping people fix things that don’t.

The Role:

• Supporting users via phone and email

• Troubleshooting issues with platform rules and configurations

• Using a ticketing system and collaborating with developers

• Occasional remote access to investigate client setups

• Calm, professional, structured support, no frantic call centre vibe

Who This Suits:

• 1st line support with an interest in systems

• Logical, methodical thinkers

• Calm, structured communicators who don’t mind the odd tricky customer

• Tech-savvy – you don’t need to code, but should be comfortable with tools like SQL, Bash, Jira, etc.

• Manchester-based or commutable once a week

Why Apply:

• £28,200 salary

• 5 AL birthday bookable bank holidays full Christmas shutdown

• BUPA health & dental

• 10–5 workday with full lunch

• 1 day per week in the office (Manchester)

• Free lunch, snacks, drinks

• Supportive, friendly team

• Clear progression if you want it, previous hires have moved into lead and dev roles

Interview Process:

• Quick intro call with the CEO

• Final interview with the support team

• No technical test — just some light logic questions
