London Paddington (onsite) - £80k to £100k plus equity

Avanti Recruitment is partnering with a well-funded healthtech startup (£2m pre-seed from leading VCs) building the universal financial intelligence layer for healthcare.

The healthtech start up are building an AI-powered platform that unifies scattered healthcare data sources, automatically surfacing critical KPIs and real-time financial intelligence. No manual work. No complexity. Just clarity.

The Role

As a Founding Software Engineer, you'll work directly with the CTO to build reliable, scalable systems powering complex integrations, payment workflows, and internal tooling.

• Build backend-heavy infrastructure for complex integrations and payment systems
• Collaborate closely with product, commercial teams, and clients
• Drive engineering quality and architectural decisions
• Move fast without cutting corners

You Are

• Experienced: 2-3+ years building production-grade systems in a start up or scale up in fast-paced environments
• Full-stack or backend-leaning: Confident with services, APIs, infrastructure, and external integrations
• Product-minded: You care about outcomes, not just tickets. You ask "why?"

• Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
• Backend: Node.js, Drizzle, PostgreSQL
• Infrastructure: Serverless (Vercel), Supabase
• Tools: OpenAI, GCP
