Full Stack Developer

Avanti Recruitment is working with a growing digital technology agency in Colchester who are looking for a Full-Stack Developer with a strong front-end focus to join their collaborative development team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys modern front-end engineering, likes learning new technologies, and wants to work across varied client-facing digital projects rather than sitting on one long-term product.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team building:

• scalable APIs and digital platforms

The business is currently moving toward modern technologies such as Svelte and Astro, but commercial experience with those frameworks is not essential. They are much more interested in strong front-end fundamentals, adaptability, and developers who enjoy learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building modern, responsive front-end interfaces

• Working with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks

• Developing APIs and backend functionality

• Working with cloud-based systems and services

• Collaborating closely with designers using Figma

• Working across varied client projects in an agile environment

• Contributing to modern front-end architecture and performance optimisation

What They’re Looking For

• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript experience

• Experience with a modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, Vue, Svelte or Astro

• Experience working with APIs and backend systems

• Experience with at least one backend language or framework such as: C# /.NET / Node.js / Python / PHP / Java

• Good HTML, CSS, SCSS or Tailwind knowledge

• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new technologies

Nice To Have

• Azure, AWS or cloud platform experience

• Headless CMS or eCommerce experience

• UI/UX awareness

• WebGL, 3D or AR experience

• Agency or client-facing project experience

Package

• Salary: Up to £50,000

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Colchester 5 days per week.
