Lead Senior Software Engineer
About the Business:
Our client is a growing technology-led organisation delivering a wide variety of projects across both modern and legacy systems. Unlike companies where engineers spend years on the same product, this business offers exposure to diverse systems and infrastructures, from short-term initiatives to large-scale programmes.
Following a recent restructure, the development function has been unified into a single, collaborative team. This creates a unique opportunity for the right person to influence culture, shape processes, and help drive continuous improvement.
The Role:
We’re seeking a Lead Senior Software Engineer to combine technical delivery with team leadership. You’ll guide a talented development team, mentor and support colleagues, and play a key role in refining engineering practices. At the same time, you’ll remain hands-on, contributing across the full stack and helping deliver high-quality solutions.
The position is varied, offering the chance to work across modern and legacy systems, cloud platforms, and a broad technology stack. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing coding and leadership responsibilities.

- Strong background in C# software development
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure

- Proven track record in leading and mentoring developers

Desirable
- RabbitMQ or other message broker systems
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React or Vue desirable)
- Redis, APIs, Git, Bootstrap, SOLR (or equivalent)
- Experience with both modern and legacy systems

- Senior engineer with leadership experience
