Senior .NET Developer
A growing financial services organisation is expanding its development team and is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Web Developer to join their in-house technology function. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a mix of public-facing web applications and internal platforms, contributing to new features, system improvements and ongoing modernisation projects.
The business has been investing heavily in its technology stack, recently completing major infrastructure upgrades and continuing a wider migration towards modern .NET and Azure services. You will join at a time of growth, stability and long-term technical progression.
The Role
As a Senior Full Stack Web Developer, you will work across both frontend and backend systems, delivering high-quality features and improvements in an Agile environment. You will also play a key part in mentoring mid-level developers and contributing to technical decision-making.
You will be involved in:
- Developing and enhancing applications using C#, MVC, Entity Framework and SQL Server
- Building new features and improving existing functionality
- Writing unit and integration tests
- Working with JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Vue
- Designing and implementing database schema updates
- Supporting ongoing migration to newer technologies such as .NET Core, Azure services and SignalR
- Participating in stand-ups, planning sessions and code reviews
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, modern technologies and contributing to team development.
Key Skills and Experience
Required:
- Strong experience with ASP.NET MVC and C#
- Entity Framework 6+
- SQL Server, T-SQL and schema design
- JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3
- Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles
- Experience with TDD and unit testing frameworks (eg. NUnit)
- Azure Cloud or similar
- Azure Service bus or similar
Desirable:
- ASP.NET Core
- Vue or similar JavaScript frameworks
- Scrum/Agile experience
- Selenium, SpecFlow or related testing tools
- SignalR
