Location: South West England (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior .NET Software Engineer to join a highly skilled team working on software that interfaces closely with specialist hardware systems.
You’ll be involved in maintaining established desktop applications while also contributing to the development of modern, service-based platforms as the business continues its technology transformation.
This role offers real influence over design and architecture, with a clear pathway for progression.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET
• Work across both desktop applications and modern service-based systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions and system design
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Support the modernisation of legacy platforms
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
TECH STACK
• C# / .NET
• WPF
• SQL Server
• .NET Core
• Microservices architecture
• Vue.js (desirable)
• Azure (ongoing migration)
ABOUT YOU
• Strong experience with C# and .NET
• Experience working with desktop applications (e.g. WPF)
• Good understanding of software design principles
• Comfortable working in engineering-led environments
• Interest in systems that interact with hardware
Desirable:
• Experience with modern frameworks or microservices
• Exposure to industrial or hardware-integrated systems
