Solutions Engineer

Solutions Engineer – Guildford - £50k to £65k

Avanti Recruitment is hiring a Solutions Engineer for a UK SaaS company whose platform is used by organisations to model, analyse and improve business processes.

This role sits between customer success and technical application. You will work directly with customers while also getting hands-on with configuration, data and front-end elements of the platform.

This is not an IT helpdesk role and not a pure development position.

The role is office-based in Guildford and requires regular on-site presence.

The Role

You will work closely with customers to support onboarding, training and ongoing use of the platform. You will help translate real business requirements into working product configurations and provide technical guidance on how the platform can be used effectively.

You will also work internally with product and engineering teams to resolve issues, refine solutions and improve documentation.

Technical Focus

You do not need to be a developer, but you must be technically credible.

This role may suit someone who enjoys:

• Working with SQL and data to support reporting, dashboards or analysis
• Understanding and configuring software applications
• Reading and working with XML is useful
• Having exposure to HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a practical, non-theoretical way
• Learning how a proprietary platform works and applying it to real customer use cases

Customer-Facing Responsibilities

• Deliver onboarding sessions, product demos and feature walkthroughs
• Support customers during live projects and day-to-day usage
• Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
• Understand customer business processes and recommend appropriate solutions
• Act as a trusted technical point of contact for customers

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a Solutions Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, Technical Consultant, Business Analyst or similar role
• Strong technical understanding with customer-facing confidence
• Comfortable working with SQL, XML and web technologies
• Clear communicator who enjoys working directly with clients
• Curious, analytical and problem-oriented
• Able to commute to Guildford
