Team Leader
We’re currently partnered with a global FinTech software house that builds high-performance financial solutions. Following continued growth and acquisitions, they’re now seeking a Technical Team Lead to guide a critical team working on a high-profile business project.
This role has evolved into a more strategic, hands-off position — ideal for someone already in a leadership post or a Senior Developer ready to step away from day-to-day coding to take on broader influence across delivery, architecture direction, and team development.
You’ll be providing technical leadership, mentoring, and ensuring best practices in delivery, rather than being deep in code. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to support the re-alignment of systems, guide integration strategies, and help shape the long-term technical vision as the business consolidates both modern and legacy platforms.
The team is largely based across Cardiff and Swansea, and they’re seeking someone Cardiff-based (hybrid) who can be a present and effective leader, supporting the team with clarity, consistency, and collaboration.
What you’ll be doing:- Leading and mentoring a cross-functional development team
- Steering technical direction and architecture conversations
- Managing delivery timelines and team workflows in an agile environment
- Providing support and structure around complex integrations and system migrations
- Acting as the bridge between business goals and technical execution
- Previous experience in a Technical Lead or Team Lead capacity
- A strong understanding of C#/.NET platforms, with the ability to guide others (without coding daily)
- Experience navigating legacy systems and shaping migration or re-architecture strategies
- Confidence leading agile delivery and working with multiple stakeholders
- A collaborative and supportive leadership style
- C# / .NET 6
- Azure
- React
- SQL
- Legacy and modern integration work
- £60,000 (DOE)
- 25 days holiday
- 5% matched pension
- Training and progression support
- Perkbox benefits scheme
- High-impact work in a business where billions of pounds in loans flow through the platform daily
If you're a people-first leader who thrives on enabling delivery and shaping technical direction — apply now for immediate consideration.
