Our Portfolio Management team designs, develops, and embeds performance and monitoring tools in the Underwriting teams, working with stakeholders throughout the business to create a solution suitable for everyone's needs.

The role

To provide support to the business on behalf of the DA division.

To support the DA Portfolio Analyst to provide a suite of data services and portfolio management information.

To meet regulatory, Home Office and stakeholder requirements for data reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  • To work with Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting and Claims to establish a robust and value added set of reports and updates to steer the business.
  • To ensure day to day compliance with/monitoring of HDI underwriting standards.
  • Help provide and establish DA Ongoing monitoring processes of our Agents monthly and quarterly.
  • Being an advocate for the DA division within HDI. Assisting with ad-hoc requests and reporting.
  • Resource for division/business projects where required.
  • Adhere to all Local and Group guidelines.
  • Ensure timely collection of data and escalation to the relevant Underwriter / Manager if necessary.
  • Assist Portfolio Analyst in review of collated data to understand portfolio dynamics / observed breach & / or outliers against Underwriting appetite.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in the insurance and/or Delegated Authority sector with a strong affinity for IT-based administration and analysis systems is desired.
  • Preferably experience within Data analysis.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Experience of using reporting tools such as business objects, SQL or Microstrategy would be advantageous
  • Strong numerical reasoning, analytical mind-set and a structured working approach.
