Regulatory Technology - Senior Business Analyst
We are partnering with a highly esteemed hedge fund who are looking for a technically fluent and commercially aware Compliance Technology Business Adviser to sit at the intersection of regulation and technology.
You will be a trusted bridge between our compliance, technology, and operations teams, turning complex regulatory requirements into practical, well-engineered solutions. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and brings both depth of knowledge and a pragmatic delivery mindset.
What you'll do
- Partner with compliance, trading, and technology teams to define and deliver reporting and data solutions
- Translate regulatory obligations into clear data mappings, business requirements, and system specifications
- Analyse trade and transaction data using SQL to identify gaps, validate outputs, and support regulatory submissions
- Own end-to-end delivery of compliance technology initiatives, managing stakeholders across the business
- Work with FIX message structures and protocol-level data to support connectivity and reporting workflows
- Contribute to the firm's approach to U.S. and UK/EU regulatory reporting obligations
Essential experience
- Eight or more years as a business analyst within regulatory reporting or compliance technology, with solid exposure to trade and transaction reporting including valuations
- Proven ability to convert regulatory requirements into data mappings and functional specifications, supported by hands-on SQL skills
- Working knowledge of FIX protocol and message-level data structures
- Familiarity with U.S. regulatory reporting frameworks (CFTC, SEC, or equivalent)
- Track record of delivering in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments with strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable experience
- Prior exposure to regulatory reporting vendors or trade repositories (e.g. DTCC, UnaVista, Unavista)
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives, equities, or FX data flows and associated reporting obligations
- Background in a buy-side or hedge fund setting
- Practical use of Agile delivery tools such as JIRA and Confluence
