Job Title - Senior Business Analyst Insurance / London Markets

Role purpose
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to lead business analysis
activities across a major business within the insurance sector.
The role focuses on analysing business processes and requirements across the end-to-end insurance value chain, ensuring alignment with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and
organisational standards.
This role requires someone comfortable operating across both business and IT
environments, able to bring structure to ambiguity and balance commercial,
operational, and technical considerations when shaping effective solutions.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
• Strong strategic shaping capability with solid commercial awareness
• Good understanding of the London Market, Lloyd’s Syndicates and management
agencies
• Proven experience delivering business analysis activities for business change
projects within Lloyd’s or the London Market
• Knowledge of the end-to-end Lloyd’s Syndicate ecosystem, including placement,
policy administration and claims systems and processes
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence facilitating discussions and working
with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong hands-on experience applying business analysis tools, techniques and
methodologies
• A proactive self-starter who can take ownership of business problems and drive
solutions through to delivery
Key responsibilities
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand, analyse and document business
processes and identify change impacts
• Work across multiple platforms and integrated systems, understanding how
business processes, applications and data flows interact
• Apply strong analytical and lateral thinking to clarify unclear or ambiguous inputs
and identify pragmatic, value-driven solutions
• Support impact assessments, feasibility analysis, prioritisation and trade-off
discussions to inform decision-making
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with senior stakeholders
• Ensure clear traceability from business problem definition through solution design,
delivery, testing and business readiness
