A bit about the job

We’re modernising Aviva’s Individual Annuities finance architecture through Project Thames. You’ll help define and validate finance and data requirements across multiple workstreams. You’ll deliver clear artefacts and help land robust, compliant future‐state processes.

What you’ll do

  • Define data mappings, lineage, controls and reconciliations.
  • Validate designs and impacts on the Finance TOM and reporting.
  • Work closely with build, test and readiness teams.
  • Manage dependencies and facilitate cross‐workstream collaboration.

Must‐have skills and experience

  • Experience with accounting flows, journals, reconciliations and controls.
  • Data analysis skills: mapping, lineage, validation and reporting.

  • Clear, confident communication with Finance, Actuarial, Data and technical teams.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to IFRS17 and IFRS9.
  • Experience with policy admin systems and actuarial model integration.
  • Vendor solution design, accounting systems or payments integrations.
  • Creating high‐quality NFRs, process flows and functional specifications.
  • Testing experience across SIT, UAT or end‐to‐end cycles.

How we’ll support you

  • A collaborative team that values learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Flexible working to balance life and delivery.
  • Opportunities to shape best practice for future Finance processes.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most colleagues are smart working, spending at least 50% of their time in our offices
