The Role

In your role as a Principal Architect, your typical workload will be split between landing consulting and advisory outcomes, leading client-side engagements, performing strategic analysis and discovery work, through to being hands-on within teams you are deployed to lead and work alongside. As such, we expect you to be confident in fulfilling a varied role.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your drive and ambition through team coaching, mentoring and leadership. You will be working with clients and stakeholders to support and drive their change initiatives and outcomes, whilst empowering internal and external team members in their work. You will operate credibly at C-suite and board level, becoming a trusted advisor on technology direction. You will lead by example, applying thought leadership to complex problems across varied environments and client cultures.

There is a requirement to be onsite in our central Leeds office 1 to 2 times a week. This can be discussed with your manager for full flexibility and can be restructured to best suit your needs, as well as some travel to client site (specific to client needs and requirements).

Essentials

· Provide architectural and technology leadership in client consulting engagements

· Operate as a trusted advisor to C-suite and board-level stakeholders, shaping technology and transformation strategy beyond the boundaries of a single engagement

· Own and grow strategic client relationships, keeping senior stakeholders anchored on outcomes and value

· Own overall architecture definition and architectural leadership in large change programmes or significant areas of work

· Lead technology selection and creation of technology roadmaps at enterprise level

· Define, validate and land organisation-wide architecture and technology strategies that interlock with client business strategy

· Influence client policy and strategy, setting or reshaping programme, function and organisational direction

· Work extensively with key business stakeholders to understand business priorities and agree enterprise level architectural trade-offs

· Use your analytical and technical expertise to make bold decisions which drive the evolution of our clients’ organisations, drawing on outcomes you have delivered across multiple sectors

· Define and optimise the execution model, using your experience in digital, agile and product-centric environments

· Manage cross discipline and architecture teams, setting clear objectives and ensuring outcomes are delivered

· Adapt to complex, challenging and low clarity environments, establishing foundations to progress outcomes, creatively addressing gaps or uncertainty

· Drive best practice in your own domain and across portfolios and programmes, assuring quality of both operation and outcome

· Produce articulate models of strategy, architectures, solutions and operating models that make complex challenges accessible to a wide audience and set out a simple route to value

· Prepare and present reports and recommendations of the highest standard, landing complex concepts with technical and executive audiences alike

· Ensure that client security, regulatory and compliance needs are met throughout

· Underpin client delivery activities with strong commercial nous, ensuring the terms of contractual commitments are delivered and kept relevant either on behalf of Axiologik, or the partners we’re asked to manage for our clients.

Within Axiologik we contribute to the growth of our business. You will also typically;

· Lead on the development and creation of new services for the Architecture practice

· Collaborate across our business on new offerings, representing the practice in cross functional teams

· Support new business development, inputting experience and expertise into commercial bids, early client conversations and pre-sales engagements that convert into sustained delivery

· Continually assess own and team output to develop IP that can be re-used with other clients and underpin our growing value proposition

Representing Axiologik, the practice and yourself you will regularly

· Build strong relationships with suppliers, partners and colleagues across our business.

· Participate in industry forums and events, expanding your existing knowledge

· Seek to develop your technical skill set, pursuing certification and other development opportunities

Desirables

We don't expect every candidate to bring all of the following. We'd encourage you to apply if much of this applies;

· Experience operating as an Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, Lead Architect or Digital Strategist in a consulting service-delivery context — running or working within a consulting team, rather than a single in-house function

· Extensive knowledge of industry-standard software packages or SaaS offerings (CRM, ERP, IDAM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

· Operating model design and implementation experience, working in and leading environments that continuously improve flow (for example, practical application of Team Topologies)

· Experience as a data practitioner, at either a strategic or technical level

· Experience driving new digital consulting business acquisition, with ownership of commercial sales targets

· Exposure to regulated, safety-critical or critical national infrastructure environments

· Degree education and/or professional qualifications and accreditations relevant to your domain expertise

Interview Stages

This will be a two-stage interview process. First stage is virtual or face to face in our offices in Leeds. The second stage will be face to face. We hope to make an offer within a month of starting the process. Our Talent team will keep you updated on timelines throughout the process and respond to any queries you have.
