Salary and Benefits (snapshot)
The salary banding for this role is £95,000 – £130,000 based on experience.

The Role
As a Principal Delivery Manager, you will lead major digital and business transformation engagements, operating at enterprise and portfolio level. You will set the strategic direction for delivery, ensuring that programmes, products, and services collectively deliver sustained organisational value.
You will work in close partnership with executive sponsors and senior leaders, shaping investment decisions, delivery strategy, governance models, and operating structures. Your accountability extends beyond delivery performance to the realisation of business outcomes, benefits, and long-term capability uplift.
This role requires authoritative leadership across delivery, commercial, and organisational change domains. You will influence at the highest level, build trusted client relationships, and represent delivery excellence as a core organisational capability. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your drive and ambition through team coaching, mentoring and leadership.
There is a requirement to be onsite in our central Leeds office 1 to 2 times a week. This can be discussed with your manager for full flexibility and can be restructured to best suit your needs, as well as some travel to client site (specific to client needs and requirements).
Experience
These are some of the skills we are looking for in candidates. Don’t worry about having a full house, we will still be interested in a chat!
· A strong track record of leading major digital and business transformation at either enterprise or portfolio level, with accountability for delivering strategic outcomes and long-term value realisation, as a programme manager, programme director, or delivery leader.
· Demonstrable experience shaping and governing product-centric delivery models at organisational or portfolio level.
· Experience setting and assuring delivery standards across multiple programmes, teams, and suppliers.
· Leadership of consulting engagements and advisory services across the full digital project and programme lifecycle.
· Accountability for portfolio-level delivery, investment decisions, and benefits realisation.
· Expert knowledge of agile and lean delivery practices, applied strategically across complex enterprises, shaping organisations to deliver successful change, ensuring delivery excellence directly supports business transformation.
· Significant experience managing multiple delivery partners from operational, commercial, and contractual perspectives.
· Ownership of programme and portfolio-level financial management and investment governance.
· Authoritative communication and influence at executive and board level.
· Experience operating in policy-led environments and managing highly demanding stakeholders within complex organisational contexts.

There will be a screening call with our Talent Partner, a first stage interview (virtual) and final stage (in person), with a short presentation involved. Our time to hire is typically 4 weeks from advertising but may go outside of this due to Bank Holidays, AL and client engagements.
