About Axioma

Axioma is one of the UK's leading mobile SMART repair providers, operating a nationwide network of hundreds of mobile repairers and technicians.

We work with consumers, fleets, insurers and automotive businesses across the UK, using technology and our nationwide repair network to make vehicle repairs faster, simpler and more cost-effective.

We're growing quickly and are looking for someone to join our Operations team who can develop into a key role managing and improving our nationwide repair network.

The Opportunity

This isn't a role where we expect you to arrive knowing everything.

We're looking for someone with a good grounding in the automotive, vehicle repair, bodyshop, fleet or accident repair industry who has the ambition and ability to develop into a much broader operational management position.

Initially, you'll work closely with our Operations team supporting the day-to-day running of our repair network – allocating work, speaking with repairers, assessing jobs, solving problems and making sure repairs happen when they're supposed to.

As your knowledge of the business and network develops, we'll give you increasing ownership of repairer performance, capacity, geographical coverage, quality and operational improvement.

The opportunity is ultimately to develop into a Network & Operations Manager responsible for a significant part of Axioma's nationwide repair operation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with our nationwide network of independent SMART repairers and technicians.
  • Help allocate repairs based on location, availability, capability and customer requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with repairers and become a trusted point of contact within Axioma.
  • Support repairers with day-to-day queries and help resolve operational issues.
  • Assess vehicle damage and help determine SMART repair suitability and appropriate repair methods.
  • Support repair estimating and pricing decisions.
  • Monitor jobs from allocation through to completion and identify anything that could impact the customer experience.
  • Help manage difficult allocations, cancellations, delays and problem repairs.
  • Monitor repairer performance across lead times, quality, acceptance rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify areas where we need additional repairer coverage or capacity.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new repairers into the Axioma network.
  • Use operational data to identify problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with the wider team to improve processes, systems and the overall efficiency of our repair operation.
  • Gradually take greater ownership of individual repairers, regions and operational projects as you develop within the role.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in finding someone with the right foundations and potential than someone who has already done this exact job.

You may currently be working in a bodyshop, accident management company, fleet operation, dealership, SMART repair business or another automotive environment and be looking for an opportunity to step into a broader operations role.

You'll ideally have:

  • Some experience within automotive repair, SMART repair, bodyshop, fleet or accident management.
  • A basic understanding of vehicle body repairs and repair processes.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with technicians, customers and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple things at once.
  • A problem-solving mentality – you'll naturally want to find a solution rather than simply pass a problem on.
  • Good general IT skills and confidence working with systems and data.
  • An ability to build relationships with different personalities.
  • A willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
  • The confidence to challenge people when something isn't working.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Experience with Excel, CRM systems or workflow platforms such as Monday.com would be useful, but isn't essential.

The Person

We're looking for someone ambitious.

You don't need to be the finished article, but you do need to want to become one.

You'll be joining a fast-moving business where you'll get exposure to almost every part of the operation. As you prove yourself, we'll give you more responsibility, more ownership and the opportunity to develop into a management role within our repair network.

If you're currently working in the automotive industry and feel you're capable of more than your current role gives you the opportunity to demonstrate, we'd particularly like to hear from you.

What You'll Get

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Hybrid working – typically 3 days in our Brentwood office and 2 days from home
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Hands-on training and development
  • Direct exposure to the management of a nationwide automotive repair network
  • Increasing responsibility as you develop
  • Clear opportunity to progress into a Network & Operations Manager position
  • The chance to grow alongside a rapidly expanding automotive business
