The Role As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maximising the potential of existing accounts. You'll work closely with customers to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and promote a range of innovative products and digital solutions.This is a field-based role, offering plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact on business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and reactivate underperforming or dormant customer accounts.
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities across your territory.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting.
- Promote and increase the adoption of digital services and value-added solutions.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Marketing, Product, and Technical Support.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales and pipeline updates.
- Proven experience in business development or field sales.
- A strong track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts.
- Experience within the security, electronics, technical products, or wider B2B sector would be advantageous.
- A consultative, solution-based sales approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own territory effectively.
