Commercial Management Accountant - Leeds City Centre - Hybrid
Are you looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact - not just report the numbers, but help shape the story behind them I am delighted to now be recruiting a Commercial Management Accountant position for a PE backed SaaS business with fabulous new offices in Central Leeds!The business have very strong year-on-year growth, increasing headcount, and a rapidly expanding customer base, and this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a newly created hands on and varied role with real ownership and visibility!In this newly created role, you will work closely with the CFO, participating in the day to day running of the finance function, while playing a key role in driving commercial insight and supporting strategic decision-making. This isn’t a “keep things ticking over” position.. it's about building, improving, and scaling.Reporting to the CFO the key duties of this role will include:
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Ownership of month-end close process.
- Oversight of core finance processes including credit control, purchase ledger and payroll
- Ownership of year-end process for statutory accounts and tax.
- Analyse KPI performance against targets.
- Collaborate with revenue teams to turn data-led insight into action plans that help grow the business.
- Support the annual budgeting cycle.
- Ownership of rolling forecast for P&L and cash flow.
- Ownership of finance processes, systems and controls to ensure they’re scalable, robust and efficient.
- Identify and implement best practice approaches, processes and tools for the finance function.
