Web Developer / IT support Apprentice
Join Aztec Media as a Web Developer / IT Support Apprentice. Working alongside our developer, you'll learn web design, build responsive websites, and provide everyday IT troubleshooting while completing The Odin Project's Full Stack JavaScript curriculum.
Role
- The apprentice will work alongside the current developer, Charlie, supporting the design and build of responsive websites using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Providing day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting, including resolving email issues, website problems and basic server queries.
- Assisting with website updates, testing and maintenance to ensure sites run smoothly across devices.
- Gradually taking on more complex development tasks as skills grow throughout the apprenticeship.
Training
The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Information Communications Technician standard. On completion the apprentice will receive the Information Communications Technician Level 3 qualification.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the potential to progress into a permanent junior web developer or IT support role within Aztec Media, with opportunities to take on more advanced development work and greater responsibility as experience grows.
