Our client, a well-established AJ100 practice with multiple offices across the UK, is seeking a skilled and detail-focused Technical Architect to join their London team. Known for delivering high-quality solutions across a wide portfolio, they are particularly active in the Mixed Use sector, including international projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Architect with a strong eye for detail and a practical approach to design and delivery. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a collaborative team, supporting projects from detailed design through to construction, ensuring technical excellence and compliance throughout.
Key Responsibilities for this Technical Architect role:
Develop and produce detailed design and construction documentation, primarily using Revit, ensuring accuracy and coordination across all project disciplines.
Review design proposals to ensure compliance with building regulations, planning requirements, and client expectations.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and provide practical solutions for design challenges.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients to support technical coordination and delivery.
Assist in the preparation of tender and construction-stage information, maintaining design integrity through technical and commercial changes.
Conduct site inspections and surveys to inform technical design decisions and monitor construction progress.
Coordinate with in-house teams to produce high-quality technical drawings and supporting documentation.
Contribute to risk management, quality assurance, and compliance throughout all project stages.
Requirements for this Technical Architect role:
Experience working on complex projects, ideally in the residential, commercial, or mixed-use sectors.
Strong proficiency in Revit with hands-on experience producing detailed technical documentation (candidates may complete a Revit assessment as part of the interview process).
Excellent understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and technical design standards.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to team efforts.
High attention to technical detail and accuracy in all aspects of documentation and design.
