This Senior Front End Engineer position has it all.
Who is it with?
A well-funded (3 year runway and already generating revenue), London startup whose product uses AI and data to help enterprises you definitely will have heard of, optimise their supply chain. One of the founders has a previous successful exit, so they're in good hands.
What will I build?
A wide variety of JavaScript front end features using including LLMs that will enhance user experience. They're backed by user research, with the capacity of the engineering team and codebase considered, and tight feedback loops to ensure you're always on the right path.
What will it be like?
You'll be 1 of 5 technical team members, so it's high impact and high ownership. They're looking for someone who wants to get involved E2E with design, build & iterations, and you'll be given the safe space to operate within, to make that possible.
How about the team?
There's product, design, front end, and back end engineers. All of which have impressive academic and commercial backgrounds and a mindset that matches the companies ideals. Candid, thoughtful, curious.
And the comp?
There's up to £140k + equity and they'll grab whatever reasonable equipment you need.
And hybrid policy?
The first week of each month, everyone gets together including a Co-Founder from overseas, so they're in 4 days. Outside of that, most people are in 2-3 days per week.
What are they looking for in a Senior Front End Engineer?
Someone who can play a big part in a small team. Full of ideas, open to new perspectives, avid problem solver. You might be perfect if you have previous experience as a Founder, independent, or similar, as the assumed proactive, product-oriented, and user-obsessed mindset that typically comes with those people aligns nicely.
Their tech stack includes Vue and Tailwind on the front end, so previous exposure here helps too, though it's not essential.
Sounds good. What about the interview process?
It's 3 stages. Casual intro, technical call, and an in-person so you can see the office and meet the team. There's also a short take-home assignment which is used to provide context for the technical call, so they insist you don't spend a load of time on it.
