About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for a CSI-IPT Cyber Security Specialist to join our Combat Systems & Integration line of business based at Adelaide.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
Reporting to the CSI-IPT DDG Cybersecurity Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the CSI-IPT DDG Cybersecurity Team which forms a part of the Specialty Engineering Team within the broader CSI-IPT DDG organisation.
You will also contribute to architecture development and design coordination activities, including the conduct of technical investigations, performing risk assessments, and identifying opportunities for programmatic efficiencies across different phases of the engineering lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Integrate Cyberworthiness considerations into the engineering effort for systems, subsystems and networks
- Contribute to ICT, Emanation or Physical security certification and accreditation activities throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Assess and mitigate system security threats/ risks throughout the program life cycle
- Identify, define, and analyse system security requirements
- Plan and conduct security Test and Evaluation activities
- Prepare and develop security documentation to support system authorisation
About YOU
- Significant experience with the systems engineering lifecycle and methodologies
- Significant experience in reviewing, interpreting and implementing Information Security Manual or NIST SP 800 53 controls
- Experience in interpreting security requirements, analysing and recommending security measures and policies
- Experience in the design and implementation of ICT security policies
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management Tools and analytics
- Significant experience in the evaluation of ICT infrastructure (Hardware/ Software) configurations for security vulnerabilities
- Experience working in Defence or critical infrastructure
- Sound working knowledge of current cyber security risks and experience implementing security solutions
- Significant experience implementing multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies
- Ability to oversee security testing and make recommendations to improve, liaise and schedule external parties to validate as appropriate
- Experience working with cross domain solutions and multi-level security architectures
- Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to internal and external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (computer science, software engineering, Information Systems etc.) from a recognised institution, and/ or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - Desirable
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) - Desirable
- A current Australian Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
