Capability Management Planner
Job title: Capability Management Planner (Edgewing)
Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary: £53,211+
What you’ll be doing:
- Administer and maintain the management system for engineering toolset and process capability across the JV HQ and NatCos for the deployment of new capability and sustainment of existing capability
- Identify areas of potential co-ordination across the JV & Partner Companies on process and toolset capability needs/ gaps and solutions and report on opportunities to the Engineering Tools & Process Capability Lead
- Liaise with and ensure collaboration between personnel from the engineering organisation and the digital organisation in the delivery of engineering process and toolset capability solutions
- Provides support from the Engineering Organisation to the CDIO for the development of the business case for toolset and process capability solutions
- Develop a plan for ensuring appropriate Tools & Process Capability taken into the place within allocated budget
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Minimum of HND / Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics
- Experience of capability management processes and activities
- Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets
- Proven relevant transferable experience from engineering background of full engineering lifecycle
- Demonstrated supervisory experience of at least 5 subordinates and experience of virtual team management / leadership
Desirable:
- Familiar with the use and application of data visualisation applications such as PowerBI or Tableau
