Salary: £73,400+ depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:
  • Providing subject matter expert advice and consultancy on cyber security
  • Approving the development of: Architectural Principles, Policies, Standards and Patterns for Cyber Security, which are clearly aligned to the desired business outcomes
  • Collaborating with other Design Authority Boards to ensure that coherent and cohesive Enterprise Architecture, Architectural Principles, Policies, Strategies and Standards are maintained
  • Promoting innovations that could augment existing cyber security capabilities
  • Acting as an escalation point for issues that affect cyber security capabilities and the wider enterprise architecture
  • Maintains a broad understanding of the external and internal security environment, how the organisation reacts to security threats, manages external partners and in-house resources as appropriate
  • Establishes and maintain relationships with business leaders and key functional stakeholders
    Your skills and experiences:
    • An understanding of emerging cyber requirements and cyber security threats
    • A broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies (with Operational Technology knowledge being an additional benefit)
    • Excellent understanding of government and industry standard security policy, standards and best practice guidance
    • Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, OWASP)
    • Experience of working in an IT function and relevant field

      The Air Cyber Security team:

      The Air Sector Cyber team are dedicated to safeguarding the organisation's digital assets and ensuring robust cyber security measures across all operations. The team is composed of skilled professionals who specialise in various aspects of cybersecurity, working collaboratively to manage risks, respond to incidents, assess compliance against internal and external standards and support the business in maintaining a secure digital environment internally and across the supply chain. This role will give you the opportunity to liaise with a range of senior stakeholders to identify, manage and mitigate the cyber risk across the business and mitigate the significant threats we face, integrating our overall approach across the team and the wider organisation. This is a highly varied role where no two days are the same!
