Salary: £60,000 plus - depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:
- Provide direct line management and strategic direction to the Naval Architect Programmes Team by defining the engagement strategy across the wider programs
- Manage performance KPI's and budgeting submissions to include Estimate at Completion and Basis of Estimate
- Create integrated schedules of work for the department and manage the deviation from baseline of work
- Be responsible for managing Naval Architecture defects, notifications, LFE and continuous improvement actions
- Oversee the collation of Naval Architect input into Key Design Reviews
- Provide development and mentorship to junior members of the team
- Act as a key member of the management team and contribute to the overall strategy of the department
Your skills and experiences:
- Hold a degree in Naval Architecture or another closely related discipline
- Have gained CEng chartered status or have the ability to achieve it within a 12 months timeframe
- Excellent stakeholder management experience with the ability to guide and influence
- Demonstrable financial and budgetary control experience across projects
- Proven experience of working within complex Engineering projects
- Experience in leading and managing a small team

The Naval Architect Programmes team:
By joining us here in the team, you will be an important member in one of the largest and fastest growing Naval Architecture Departments in the UK. You will be working on some of the most complex ship design and build programmes ever undertaken to deliver cutting edge submarines to the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy.
