Salary: Up to £49,400 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Liaising with Engineers to record and understand material requirements for Supply Chain contracts

  • Creation and maintenance of Supply Chain Advanced Bill of Material (ABoM) documents

  • Working with Supply Chain and Engineering to create and maintain the deliverable and installable BoM in line contract delivery schedules & build programme

  • Ensure all BoM datasets are maintained with latest Supply Chain, Planning and Engineering data

  • Ensure quality of data in BoM toolsets and ABoM documents

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) and data processes and systems

    • Working experience with complex Bill of Material structures and ability to review Engineering outputs

    • Experience of working within Engineering Product Change

    • Experience of processing large data sets and maintaining data quality

    • Data presentation skills

      Desirable:

      • Experience in Ship Design & Build

      • Experience working with Supply Chain and knowledge in ERP processes and systems

      • Registered as IEng or working towards CEng (or equivalent)

        Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.

        Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.

        Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

        The River Class Destroyer BoM Integration team:

        The River Class Destroyer Programme is offering three exciting opportunities to work at the forefront of naval engineering. These roles will place you at the heart of Engineering in the BoM Integration Team, specialising in the Implementation of the Engineering & Planning Bill of Materials for Supply Chain stakeholders.

        You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain teams providing Bill of Material support across various technical domains. Working alongside talented Senior and Principal Engineers, you’ll help support the development of the Supply Chain BoM within the PLM tool set.

        Reporting to the Engineering Principal, you will develop your knowledge of Engineering fundamentals, Engineering Bill of Materials and Engineering Change with exposure to exciting ship building programmes within BAE Systems.

        This role, along with career progression, offers the opportunity to obtain Engineering accreditation to further expand your expertise in this field.
