Job Title: IT Infrastructure Team Lead

Location: Preston / Warton; Lancashire.

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Day-to-day management of the team, including task delegation, performance reviews, and the promotion of a collaborative and efficient working environment

  • Leading the support and management of the business infrastructure across Windows and Linux platforms

  • Designing, deploying and maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking and security systems

  • Overseeing the installation, configuration and deployment of IT hardware, drawing on your infrastructure hosting experience

  • Investigating and resolving problems by gathering information from physical and informational sources, reviewing platform or assembly defects, and ensuring comprehensive understanding of issues

  • Administering a virtualised production environment using industry-standard tools

  • Regular engagement with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives and strategic priorities

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role

    • Installing, configuring and supporting Windows and/ or Linux operating systems

    • Detailed understanding of network architecture, with a focus on Palo Alto firewall and network security technologies

    • In-depth knowledge of hypervisor technologies, including VMware, VxRail and Hyper-V

    • Experience using a variety of IT administration and management applications

    • Awareness of cyber security methodologies and best practices

      Desirable:

      • Experience administering virtualisation and cloud platforms, including Citrix and thin client technologies

        The Infrastructure Engineering Team:
