Job Title: Information Management Specialist

Salary: £54,793 + dependant upon skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

· Driving and supporting Information Management role holders across the Air Sector to implement Information Management Governance for their parts of the Business

· Developing and communicating new and improved Information Management processes and guidance for ongoing continuous improvement across the Air Sector

· Educating and guiding colleagues across the Air Sector on how to apply good Information Management practices for their real-world situations. This includes providing Information Management related guidance, ad hoc query answering and the development and provision of communications and training

· Driving and supporting the expansion of technology to improve and, where possible, automate Information Management across the business

· Undertaking Information Management risk assessments for current and future Systems/ Repositories of Record. Agreeing and assuring the implementation of risk mitigations through education, process and/ or technological means

· Acting as the internal customer for Information Management implementation projects including CSFs, requirements, solution reviews, configuration, testing, acceptance, governance definition and user training

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

· The candidate needs to be a self-starter who is willing to work with a reasonable degree of autonomy

· An ability to work with people at all levels and articulate and inform on Information management being able to influence and convince them

· A good level of IT literacy as they will be managing and administering IT systems

Desirable:

· Experience of Information and Records Management principles and processes.

· Microsoft Sharepoint/ Rational Governance

The Air Sector Information Management Team:

Working within the central Air Sector Information Management team to develop, facilitate and deploy Information Management (IM) principles and processes across the Sector. Supporting and guiding the Lines of Business and Functions to implement effective, efficient and compliant management of the business’ information throughout its full lifecycle. Driving the adoption of technology to ensure that information is appropriately managed and protected whilst also facilitating efficient business operations. This includes leading the adoption of automation to drive consistency and reduce manual processes
