Software Engineer - Shared Infrastructure

Salary: Up to £58,000, based on your skills and experience.
As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the software used throughout the Royal Navy fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing fixes and functionality updates for software products based on project priorities.
- Conducting complex technical analyses and investigations, evaluating options, and preparing reports with recommendations to enhance engineering capabilities.
- Designing and developing solutions that meet specifications and quality standards, ensuring all designs are appraised to maintain excellence.
- Addressing operational challenges and developing solutions, whether individually or as part of a project team.
- Participating in the integration and testing of software products on local target rigs.
- Undertaking design, development, integration, and testing of assigned software products under the guidance of the Software Engineering team leaders.
Essentials:
- Ability to thrive in a large, complex multi-project environment.
- Significant experience as a Software Engineer, particularly in development and testing using C#.
- Experience in several of the following areas:
- WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
- Powershell
- Unit, regression, and system testing
- Proficient in documenting low-level designs and rationale solutions.
Desirable:
- Previous experience with Agile development processes.
