Job Title: Systems Integration Group Leader

Salary: £54,793 + dependent upon skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage design development testing installation commissioning and acceptance of M&TP deliverables ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Lead the M&TP Team aligned to company values with a focus on customer excellence performance teamwork development and continuous improvement
  • Manage and maintain detailed schedules and resource plans with PMO support ensuring team is prioritised and manned to meet deadlines
  • Support the generation of business cases in line with the overall Ground and Training Products strategy
  • Deliver timely responses to bids change requests change proposals estimate requests and support impact assessments
  • Oversee engineering elements of supplier delivery for M&TP products ensuring quality and integration
  • Engage internal and external suppliers in the development of innovative training solutions
  • Manage evidence to assure product safety and support future training product strategy development and key stakeholder relationships including MOD RAF RSAF QEAF and Eurofighter

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential

    Proven experience of Systems Integration and Engineering Design/ Development

    Experience of Systems Engineering and Engineering Lifecycle Management

    Experience of configuration and change management

    To be IT literate using Microsoft Office Suite

    Desirable

    Leadership experience and previous experience having managed a small team

    Experience working within a military or aerospace role.

    Knowledge and experience of requirements management

    The Maintenance and Training Products (M&TP) team:

    This role sits within the Maintenance and Training Products (M&TP) team, part of Product Capability in the Ground and Training Products (G&TP) function of the Fast Jet Support organisation. The team plays a key role in supporting Typhoon operations by delivering high-quality maintenance and ground crew training systems to the UK, NETMA and export customers.

    We develop and sustain a range of products including the Crew Escape and Safety Systems Trainer (CESST), Typhoon Virtual Maintenance Trainer (TVMT), Electronic Classrooms (EC) and the Engineering Support System Tablet (ESS-T). The team is entering an exciting period, delivering products to new export customers and working with Future Capability to help shape the next generation of training systems.

    You will be joining a collaborative and driven group of engineers and specialists committed to delivering capability that supports front-line operations.
