Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

BDS are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to work as part of a team with a well-known Housing Association from their Kings Cross office.

Main duties include but are not limited too;

• Developing and maintaining test strategies and plans for new solutions, changes, and upgrades.
• Overseeing the testing activities of third-party suppliers
• Coordinating and supporting testing, including user acceptance testing and implementation rehearsals.  
• Reviewing and approving supplier test documentation, scripts, and results.
• Defining quality criteria for releases and ensuring they are met before deployment.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency in testing, ensuring partners apply best practice.
• Producing clear reports and recommendations on test outcomes, risks, and readiness for go-live.

The ideal candidate will have;

• Proven experience in QA and testing, including oversight of third-party suppliers.
• Experience designing and delivering test strategies and plans.
• Strong understanding of testing methods (functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance).
• Knowledge of automation concepts and tools, with experience applying them in projects or supplier contexts. (Postman, Selenium, Cypress, RSAT)
• Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple testing activities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, able to present test outcomes and risks clearly.
• Experience with SaaS or package-based applications.
• Experience and knowledge of writing automated test using C#, python
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, NEC Housing, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other test management tools

Hours- Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm

Hybrid working- 2 days in the office, Tuesdays and Thursdays and 3 days from home

Pay Rate- £27.62ph PAYE- £36.26ph UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)

This is a initially a 6 month contract to start ASAP but could extend
