IT Support Apprentice
Kick-start your IT career with a Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting customers, providing technical support, setting up devices and managing user accounts. Work alongside experienced engineers while earning a recognised qualification and developing valuable industry skills.
Role
- Answering remote support calls and assisting users with technical issues.
- User account administration and management.
- Configuration and preparation of computers and other devices.
- Assisting with office admin roles as required.
- Accompanying engineers on customer site visits and installations.
- Access to and training in the use of remote support and network management tools.
- Exposure to a wide range of technologies including Windows PCs, iPads, Chromebooks, Macs and Windows Servers.
- Exposure to networking technologies including switches, wireless networks and VLANs.
- Exposure to VoIP, CCTV and access control systems.
- On-the-job training and development alongside experienced engineers.
Training
- Training my be a mix of college days at the Welwyn Garden City Campus ( shuttle form our St Albans Campus is available ) and online workshops to support delivery
- Assessor workplace visits
- 121 check ins every 8 weeks or so to support
