Junior Systems Administrator / Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Solid foundational knowledge of systems administration and IT infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and common enterprise tooling
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
  • Strong understanding of IT support best practices and user communication

Required Skills

  • Microsoft 365 Admin Experience
  • M365 Certifications
  • Prior MSP Background

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft 365 Admin experience or certifications (e.g. MS-102, MS-900, or similar) would be a meaningful differentiator.
  • Prior experience at a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is also a strong positive signal it tends to indicate exposure to varied environments and a good pace of learning.

Working Style & Autonomy

  • The successful candidate must be able to manage their own time and set realistic expectations with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • This is not a role that will be heavily micro-managed we need someone who is proactive, knows when to escalate, and takes ownership.
  • Demonstrates good judgement about when to act independently vs. when to involve others
  • Keeps stakeholders informed without needing to be chased
  • Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment

Location & Logistics

  • The role will begin on-site to allow the new hire to integrate with the team and build relationships.
  • There is a clear path to a hybrid arrangement once the candidate has settled in.
  • Occasional travel to Europe may also be part of the role candidates should be comfortable with this possibility.
