Business Development Manager

The Role:

A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a rapidly growing company within the environmental certification industry. This role will see you working at home 2 days per week and in the office 3 days per week. You will be selling a SaaS solution which enables SME's to gain environmental certification on a cost-effective basis instead of going through very expensive ISO processes. There are different levels of certification on offer, giving customers a choice as to how in-depth they wish to go. This certification supports SME's in recognising their environmental shortfalls, putting processes in place to be much better, and to show their customer base they genuinely care about their carbon impact on the environment.

This is a 360 sales role whereby you will be supported by a Business Development Executive feeding qualified meetings and leads for you to close out. You will also be hunting your own leads through various data bases. You will be part of a major group in which there are other divisions, with active customers, you can target and upsell & cross sell to gain traction.

Requirements:

To be considered for the Business Development Manager role, you will need:

  • A background in selling professional services or SaaS solutions direct to end users
  • Experience in the environmental certification, energy, or sustainability industry
  • A strong new business development track record using a multi-channel approach
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Outgoing, confident, and wanting to be in front of people face to face at events
  • A proactive, consultative sales approach

The Package for Business Development Manager:

  • Basic salary of £65,000 - £75,000 (DOE)
  • Commission potential in excess of £40,000 per annum (paid monthly in arrears)
