Business Development Manager - Retail Data & Insights

Base: £45,000-£55,000 | OTE: £20,000-£25,000 | Hybrid (London, 3 days in office) | EMEA territory

We are working with a market-leading data and analytics business to appoint a Business Development Manager focused on the UK retail and leisure sector. This is a well-regarded brand with countless high-street retail and hospitality brands on their client roster already - including McDonalds, Nandos and Holland&Barrett . Because of our client's continued success this hire is required to help accommodate heightened demand.

The business provides BI software and consulting that helps retailers and food and beverage brands understand trade patterns, footfall and performance data - enabling them to make decisions on growth locations, product lines, size and scope of expansion. It is a sophisticated, consultative sale with real commercial impact for clients, and the top performers in this team are earning £150,000-£200,000 within a couple of years.

The role

- 90% new business development across an EMEA territory

- Target Head of Store Planning and Solutions Design contacts within major retail and F&B brands

- Manage a structured pipeline with 3x coverage - deals are typically 3-5 year contracts

- Work alongside a pre-sales team who build tailored propositions for each opportunity

- Self-generate leads alongside inbound support from BDR, events and research reports

What we are looking for

- 2+ years in a full 360 sales role - ideally within data, SaaS or consulting

- Experience selling to similar decision-makers and through a similar structured sales process

- Comfortable working with and presenting data - this is a data-led sale and intellectual curiosity matters

- A hunter mentality with a methodical, thoughtful approach to business development - drive and intelligence are the key traits this hiring manager selects on

The package

- Base salary: £45,000-£55,000

- OTE: £20,000-£25,000, paid monthly
