Currently seeking a new Business Development Executive, this Manchester based company support global clients with software solutions.
These systems help companies to gain visibility and control over global supply-chain networks, assess compliance, monitor risk and produce audit-ready due diligence reports.
Many of their clients are in the Automotive sector, but they work across a variety of sectors with company size ranging from SME to large enterprise.
What does the Business Development Executive role look like?
Working as a Business Development Executive, you'll join an existing sales team in an entry level role. It's a hybrid job, split between time spent in the Manchester office and some days working from home.
The first few weeks will be heavily training focused with your tasks and responsibilities starting to ramp up as you start to better learn and understand your market. Once fully up to speed, a typical day-to-day will consist of reaching out to potential new clients proactively, reacting to inbound marketing leads and supporting the senior sales team with account management.
As you progress and develop, you may be considered for an opportunity to be promoted to Business Development Manager - the sky is the limit for long term progression.
What are the company looking for in a Business Development Executive?
This is an entry level role, meaning no previous sales experience is required. The right individual for this role will have a mix of transferable skills that, accompanied with the right training, will be suited for sales.
Competitiveness, resilience, relationship building and initiative are all clear skills that salespeople need. The successful candidate may have picked these skills up through work experiences alongside education such as hospitality, retail and customer service. People that have played high level sport could also be well suited to this fast-paced, target driven industry.
