Project Manager

Inside IR35 - Hybrid working - Must have an active SC Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Data Portfolio and lead the delivery of a highly complex data initiative involving new technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a large-scale, innovative programme.

In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders to manage the full lifecycle delivery of critical projects across multiple teams. You will collaborate with clients and suppliers throughout the Design, Analysis, Build, and Test phases, taking responsibility for project responses and successful delivery. You will also partner with Project Managers and Delivery Leads from both the client and third parties to coordinate delivery, ensuring dependencies are identified, planned, and managed through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals and contribute to the approval process for work packages and statements of work.
  • Lead project execution and implementation using agile delivery methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, establishing delivery rhythms while balancing priorities, managing risks and dependencies, and removing obstacles.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards in line with client processes.
  • Manage stakeholders and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships and clear communication.
  • Provide clear and effective reporting and communication.
  • Take ownership of project budgets, ensuring value delivery, accurate forecasting, and change management.
  • Lead, motivate, and support multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Anticipate resource needs to ensure effective staffing and delivery.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects, including multi-stream integrations.
  • Strong capability in risk and dependency management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Solid commercial and financial management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team motivation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, balancing multiple priorities.
  • Experience delivering projects using agile methodologies and collaboration tools (eg Agile/SCRUM, Jira, Confluence, SAFe).
  • Service transition experience, including moving major projects into live operations.
  • Active SC Clearance.
