Manager – Cyber Security (Risk & Resilience) Advisory - Financial Services

We are working with a growing cyber security consulting team within a boutique advisory firm, focused on helping organisations understand, assess, and strengthen their cyber risk and resilience.

This role sits firmly on the advisory side of cyber - not technical engineering or testing. The focus is on working with clients to assess their current cyber posture, identify gaps, and support the development of practical, business-aligned improvements for their Financial Serives Clients.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead delivery of cyber risk and maturity assessments for Financial Services Clients
• Apply recognised frameworks such as:
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
• ISO 27001 (or equivalent)
• Translate findings into clear, practical recommendations
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining relationships
• Support and guide more junior team members on engagements

Skills:

Degree educated (min.) your CV must demonstrate the following:

Experience in cyber security advisory, cyber risk, or technology risk consulting for a recognised consultancy

• Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks (e.g. NIST, NCSC CAF, ISO 27001)
• Experience leading or delivering: cyber risk assessments/maturity assessments/controls reviews
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
• Experience working directly with clients
• Experience in financial services, particularly insurance or pensions (an adv)

Desirable

• Exposure to: third-party risk / supplier risk/operational resilience
• Experience contributing to business development or proposal work
• Exposure to cyber due diligence (e.g. private equity or transactions)

Base salary to c£80,000 + Car/cash + bens + Bonus
