Administrator Apprentice - Exams Team

To provide an administration service to the Sysco Group on a daily basis, working closely with the exams officer to ensure all work is completed accurately and to specific deadlines. Duties will include keeping stock levels of paperwork up to date, booking exams, monitoring completion of exams, general administration support across all departments

Role

To work as part of a professional team providing administration functions relating to Government funding, training and qualifications.

Activities will be wide and varied, and will include the use of several IT systems, processing paperwork whilst learning about funding and the training industry.

  • To create portfolios for training courses and qualifications
  • Filing and recording paperwork related to training, starting, and completing
  • Scanning and renaming certificates and keeping the database up to date
  • Keep stock levels of paperwork up to date
  • Logging and distributing of incoming and outgoing post
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with general queries including internal and external employers
  • Updating forms
  • Bespoke database inputting
  • General administration support across all departments
  • Booking exams

The job holder will be required to perform any additional activities that are relevant to the role.

Training

If successful, you will complete the Level 3 Business Administrator standard. This will be delivered in conjunction with your employer by Sysco Business Skills academy giving you all the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be successful in your role.

In addition to workplace development, you will attend a number of workshops. Furthermore, your apprenticeship will cover:

  • Functional skills in maths and English at level 2 (if required)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
