This leading IT services business is expanding its Leicester finance team, creating an opportunity for an Assistant Group Accountant to get involved in reporting responsibilities.
Your role
Working closely with the Reporting Manager, you will support financial reporting and help establish processes as responsibilities transfer from an overseas team.
The focus is on detailed accounting and reporting work, giving you the opportunity to build expertise beyond the monthly management accounts cycle.
You will gain exposure to an international finance function, with scope to support an overseas entity as your knowledge develops.
Who would suit this opportunity?
You might be working in practice, preparing accounts for clients and looking to take your first step into industry. Alternatively, you could be an Assistant Accountant who enjoys reporting and wants to develop within a larger business.
You will bring:
- Experience in accounts preparation or financial reporting.
- AAT qualifications, progress towards ACCA, ACA or CIMA, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
- A willingness to learn and a supportive approach to working with colleagues.
Experience with Caseware or Sage would be welcome, although neither is essential.
