Lead Executive Assistant to the CEO – Tech

Reference: VB7152

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 (DOE) + benefits

Location: London

*MUST HAVE TECH*

Our client, a founder-led global EdTech company and recent unicorn, is entering an exciting new chapter of scale. With millions of learners worldwide and strong international growth, the business is now operating with increased global complexity, investor visibility, and clear pre-IPO ambition. As part of this evolution, they are seeking an exceptional Lead Executive Assistant to the CEO — a strategic force multiplier who will operate at the highest level of the organisation.

This is not a traditional Executive Assistant role. It is a high-trust, high-autonomy leadership position designed to amplify CEO effectiveness, increase organisational velocity, and elevate executive operations across the company. The successful candidate will act as a true extension of the CEO internally and externally, engaging with Board members, investors, senior leadership, and key stakeholders, while building and scaling a world-class Executive Assistant function fit for a global, pre-IPO technology company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and optimise the CEO’s time, focus, and operating rhythm
  • Anticipate priorities and surface risks before they materialise
  • Drive structured follow-through on strategic initiatives
  • Represent the CEO with credibility and discretion across senior forums
  • Design and continuously improve Executive Office systems and cadence
  • Elevate meeting quality, decision-making rigor, and information flow
  • Ensure alignment and coordination across the C-suite
  • Establish processes, standards, tooling, and playbooks for executive support
  • Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing Executive Assistants
  • Scale the EA function in line with business growth and complexity

Candidate Profile:

  • Significant experience supporting a founder, CEO, or senior executive in a fast-scaling global technology environment
  • Proven track record of building or professionalising an Executive Assistant or Executive Operations function
  • Experience leading and developing EA teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic judgment
  • Exceptional prioritisation skills and ability to operate calmly under pressure
  • High discretion, executive presence, and emotional intelligence
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
