Are you looking to kick-start a career in data and analytics? Were offering an exciting opportunity to join KCOM as an Apprentice Data Insight Analyst in our Consumer Performance team.
This isnt just a job its a chance to learn on the job, gain hands-on experience, and work towards a nationally recognised Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship qualification. Over 1821 months, youll be supported every step of the way with training, coaching, and real-life projects to build your skills and confidence.
In this role, youll support the creation and development of complex data sets, help to analyse results, and uncover actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Youll also learn to use statistical tools and data visualisation techniques to present findings clearly, while working closely with teams across the business to optimise processes and improve performance.

Salary Pay for this apprenticeship will depend on your age and will meet the governments National Minimum Wage rates
Location Hull, Carr Lane, 2 days minimum office based

Key Responsibilities:
As an Apprentice Data Insight Analyst, youll learn how to:
Gather, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and behavioural insights.
Create and maintain regular reports to support decision-making and monitor KPIs.
Build and develop data visualisations to clearly communicate insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
Gain proficiency in SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting processes and ensuring the integrity of data.
Stay up to date with the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements:
Were looking for someone who has:
Strong analytical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
A-Level (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related subject.
GCSEs in English and Maths (AC / 49) or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with programming (T-SQL, Python, or R desirable).
Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI (coursework or practical experience welcome).
Good IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to continuously learn and develop.
Youll need either appropriate prior qualifications or experience to qualify for a Level 4 programme this might include an A Level, BTEC, or similar qualification in a related subject such as IT, Maths, or a relevant field.
Your Apprenticeship: Data Analyst Level 4
Alongside your role at KCOM, youll be enrolled on the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship programme, which includes:
Advanced training in data tools, statistical analysis, databases, and visualisation.
1:1 support from a dedicated skills coach.
Monthly virtual training sessions tailored to your role.
Access to exclusive learning materials and industry-led projects.
A nationally recognised qualification that opens doors to exciting roles in data, analytics, and business intelligence.

Outcome: Data Analyst Level 4 Qualification
