Business Systems Analyst

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing organisation with their search for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join their IT team.

Overall Purpose:

  • To lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of systems, processes, software and IT projects that enhance organisational efficiency, support business growth, and ensure technological innovation across all sites globally, making recommendations for future action within the Company.

Key Duties:

  • Analyse the requirements of the organisation and organise the IT resources of the organisation accordingly, choosing the most suitable software and hardware.
  • Maintain MSSQL database systems using SQL server management Studio
  • Manage and maintain ERP software including the development of custom applications & automation
  • Analyse and optimise business processes through technology solutions; scoping, developing & implementing automation and integration initiatives to enhance productivity where appropriate.
  • Ability to script both within ERP software & related system architecture to support the needs of the business.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write SQL views, queries and stored procedures to support the needs of the business.
  • Knowledge of various scripting languages to support business objective.
  • Write reports and develop customer facing documents using Crystal reporting software.
  • Use of XML and XSL to support automation projects using Dataswitch software.
  • Audit and administer all IT systems - including K3 -Syspro, Gael - Q-Pulse, InfinityQS - Proficient, Microsoft 365 and Seagull - Bartender Label software and working knowledge of integrations and supporting systems used within the organisation
  • Lead & manage the integration of complex systems and the implementation of enterprise-level software solutions.
  • To Document ALL Development work and file in a structured manner.
  • Identify and train to an acceptable level any business-critical development
  • Identify & utilise advanced data analytics and business intelligence tools to support business objectives
  • To act as the interface with suppliers of our systems and act as the technical liaison.
  • Assist with developing & shaping the organisation's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives; effectively executing such.
  • Lead & collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs, research and evaluate systems, and drive organisational change initiatives.
  • Lead & manage IT projects from conception to completion, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Provide on the job training for users; and ensure that instruction manuals are up to date and fit for purpose.
  • Provide emergency call support in line with company requirements.
  • To cover colleagues whenever possible during holidays and sickness.
  • Proactively research emerging technologies, assess their fit for the organisation, advise management and lead initiatives to implement innovative solutions that deliver measurable ROI.

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in IT, Mathematics, Physics, Computing, Engineering (BEng).
  • A sound knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience working in a similar role.
