Design Engineer - Strong Vault integration, HashiCorp, Terraform, PAM, Hybrid, Yorkshire

Our client is seeking a proven Design Engineer to lead end-to-end solution design for secrets management and identity services, producing architecture designs aligned with business requirements, standards, and principles. Within the Banking Sector

Key responsibilities

Design and document secure, reusable solutions and architecture patterns.

Lead Vault integration troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, monitoring, and service improvements.

Shape secrets management strategy and influence its future direction.

Identify and document design decisions, deviations, risks, and issues.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Essential experience

Experience working with HashiCorp Vault, preferably on-premises.

Experience in Terraform, including building complex modules.

Strong Vault integration experience across secret engines and authentication methods.

Experience with enterprise workload identity frameworks.

Knowledge of federated identity, PAM, and authentication protocols such as Kerberos, OAuth, and SAML.
