Business Change Product Manager (Payments and Banking) (London Area)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banking/Payments Business Change Product Managers to lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of strategic change initiatives within our young bank. You will be responsible for driving product and process transformation across our portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance, customer value, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Lead the planning and execution of business change initiatives across payments products (e.g., Faster Payments, SEPA, CHAPS Direct (RTGS),SWIFT, CHAPS, Bacs, ISO 20022).
- Translate regulatory, technological, or strategic requirements into actionable product and process changes.
- Define and manage product roadmaps in collaboration with compliance, operations, technology, and external partners.
- Serve as the change subject matter expert (SME) in payments processes, systems, and regulations.
- Develop detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for change delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, risk, and customer service to deliver change.
- Monitor change delivery progress and resolve blockers, ensuring alignment to scope, timeline, and budget.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure strong communication around impacts, benefits, and risks of change.
- Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses, and readiness reviews.
- Ensure delivery of customer-centric, compliant, and future-proof solutions
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with strong exposure to payment systems and change delivery.
- Proven track record of managing product or business change in the payments space.
- Deep understanding of UK, European, or global payment schemes and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 20022, PSD2, SWIFT, Bacs).
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Product management or business analysis certification (e.g., Scrum Product Owner, BCS BA, PRINCE2) is a plus.
Work location
- London or Belfast (4 or 5 days per week in the office) Travel to other locations may be required on occasion.
