Senior Quantitative Analyst (PhD) Climate & Nature | Sustainable Investing

We're partnering with a leading global asset manager who have two immediate openings to appoint Senior Quantitative Analysts to join its specialist Climate & Nature team. We are looking for PhDs for these roles.

This is an investment-focused quantitative research role where you'll develop proprietary Climate & Nature investment frameworks, quantitative models and investment signals that are embedded directly into the investment process.

Working at the intersection of quantitative research, sustainability and investment management, you'll transform complex sustainability datasets into innovative analytics that support real investment decisions.

Salary ~£150k base plus bonus (with flexibility for the right candidate)

This is a specialist Climate & Nature Investment Quant role, not the traditional portfolio analytics, ETF or product management position.

You'll be involved in:

✔ Developing proprietary Climate & Nature investment frameworks, including Implied Temperature Rise (ITR) and other sustainability analytics.

✔ Building quantitative models and investment signals using climate, emissions, transition risk, biodiversity and nature-related datasets.

✔ Evaluating sustainability data, developing proprietary datasets and ensuring their quality and robustness.

✔ Working closely with investment, research and technology teams to translate quantitative research into actionable investment insights.

I'm keen to speak with candidates who have:

✔ PhD in a quantitative discipline.

✔ Strong Python programming, quantitative modelling and data analysis skills.

✔ 5 -10 years+ quantitative experience working with ESG, sustainability, climate, emissions, transition risk, biodiversity or nature-related datasets.

✔ A background in sustainable investing, climate analytics or environmental data.
