VP - Technology Risk - 2LOD

A Global Systemically Important Bank is hiring a VP of IT Risk to join the second line of defence in London, working on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in the office.

What you will be doing:

You will provide independent oversight and challenge across technology and IT risk, partnering closely with first line teams to ensure risk is identified, assessed, documented and managed in line with the bank’s risk appetite. You will support governance activity, contribute to risk reporting for senior stakeholders, and help drive consistent standards across key technology domains.

What we are looking for:

• IT risk and governance experience within financial services

• Strong understanding of technology risk, controls, and operational resilience

• Confident producing clear documentation and supporting governance forums

• Ability to translate technical issues into meaningful risk language for non technical stakeholders

• A technical background or prior experience in technology roles is beneficial

• Certifications such as CRISC are advantageous
