Head of Digital Content & Optimisation (London)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead a Centre of Excellence providing digital services across BUK, including product ownership of capabilities and journeys, business architecture, and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a digital content strategy to enhance customer engagement and conversion rates, ensuring content SLAs and efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize digital content across app and web, maintaining consistency with brand guidelines; stay updated with industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Lead optimization strategies for app and web, including A/B testing and tagging across digital platforms.
  • Act as the relationship lead for Customer Experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business goals through content initiatives.

Purpose of the role:

Manage and drive innovation strategies to meet customer needs, ensuring the bank's long-term success and competitive edge.

Accountabilities:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and emerging trends, supporting profitability analysis and identifying diversification opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to generate innovative product ideas and prototypes aligned with customer needs and strategic goals.
  • Develop concepts and specifications for new products, including features, target markets, UI, technical specs, and revenue models.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks associated with new product development and launch.
  • Monitor market trends and gather feedback from testing and beta programs to refine products pre-launch.
  • Manage launch plans and technical deployments, including timelines, marketing, training, and communication strategies.
  • Track key metrics like adoption, usage, satisfaction, and revenue to assess product performance.

Director Expectations:

  • Manage a business function, contributing to strategic initiatives, policies, and procedures, and overseeing complex projects.
  • Lead a large team or act as a technical expert on organization-wide projects, coaching less experienced staff and influencing long-term decisions.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management and committees, managing resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, monitoring external environment and industry developments.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of industry practices, applying analytical skills to solve complex problems and design solutions.
  • Exercise authority for significant and strategic decisions, influencing stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Serve as a principal contact for key clients and act as a spokesperson for the division.
